Hoje a cantora e atriz norte-americana de origem porto-riquenha, Jennifer Lopez completa, 40 anos... E eu adoro essa música, em especial.

Composta por Maria Christensen; Michael Garvin; Phil Temple; e originalmente gravada em 1997 pelo grupo feminino 3rd Party no álbum 'Alive', Waiting For Tonight' adquiriu uma roupagem mais pop, dance e moderna na voz de Jennifer Lopez, entrando para o repertório oficial de seu álbum 'On The 6', de 1999; e ganhando uma versão em espanhol denominada 'Una Noche Más'.

A música sempre fez parte das canções prediletas de J-Lo e esteve perto de ser o first single do disco, mas acabou sendo substituída por 'If You Had My Love', tornando-se mais tarde, o segundo single em inglês do álbum.
